She also likes to work on ceramics and couldn't help but mention that she is "good." When asked about her role models, she said that she has two. The first is Kim Buschek, her viola teacher. The second is the UMBC orchestra conductor, Dr. Michael Richards. She noted that while she loves what people did in the past, it is really hard to look up to people that you can't observe and learn from first hand. When asked about her ultimate goals in life, she said that she would like to stay in the music industry by continuing to play in a symphony orchestra. She would also like to have her visual art interests incorporated into her music somehow. Erin said that she would want people to know that the biggest stereotype in phentermine with cod charge music is that it is very strict. She said that there is always room for flexibility, which can make it really fun. Erin even said that music is something that people are always confident about, which is why it is so highly pursued. Music is "very important. It connects people; everyone in this world can speak the language of music." That is why she is so upset with different areas trying to remove music from the classroom. When asked for a crazy fact about herself, Erin had two. One was that she met her boyfriend in a college class while they were both in high school. The second is that she is a "neat freak." Maybe that is why UMBC hired her to be the music librarian for the orchestra. She spent a whole summer cleaning up and organizing the entire library of orchestra pieces and literature. Erin said that her favorite class here at UMBC was musicianship where they worked on music dictation, site singing, group singing, and rhythms. Her least favorite class was keyboarding because she didn't feel like there was any structure. Even with this class, Erin wanted to make it perfectly clear that she feels like the music department is the best! It is very personal and they have some of the greatest professors. She is "so thankful to be here." After listening to her play some sample viola music, it was clear to me why Erin has been such a success. She is one of the smartest yet humblest students I have ever met! I have every belief that Erin will be successful in whatever she strives to achieve and that she will help others learn the beautiful art of one of the worlds oldest trades: music.
