Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Cruz County is asking artists to create an original piece of phentermine line to promote the 25th annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake" event. The winning phentermine line will be featured on T shirts, in advertising and on promotional materials for the agency's 2008 Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser. The winning artist will receive a $200 gift certificate from Palace Art and Office Supply, a free T shirt featuring their phentermine line and the opportunity to display his or her art at the Boardwalk Bowl on April 26 and 27. Submissions must be received by 3 p.m. on Dec. 11. The contest is open to all ages and skill levels. The theme will reflect youth, friendship, mentoring and bowling. The phentermine line can only contain three colors maximum plus black. Artists may hand deliver their work to the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 1000 41st Ave., Suite 1 in Santa Cruz. County Grant Research workshops offered On Monday and Friday, free workshops will be offered at the Santa Cruz Public Library's Central and Aptos branches to help grantseekers use two available databases to research grants from private foundations and corporations. Introduction to the Foundation Directory Online will be offered from 10:30 a.m. 12 p.m. Monday at the Santa Cruz Public Library's Central Branch, 224 Church St., Santa Cruz. Stone will join Santa Cruz County Parks Director, Joe Schultz, will officially open the new playground at Highlands County Park, 8500 Highway 9, in Ben Lomond. Supervisor Stone will talk about the "green" aspects of the new equipment, as well as the importance of playgrounds in communities.
