They're raising the bar on phentermine diet assignments, and raising grades at the same time. News 11's Tanieya Lewis joins us with an Assignment Education report. The prinicipal of Blissfield Middle School says a quarter of his kids were receiving failing grades when he first started there two and a half years ago. Quickly, he implemented the DRIVE program, which stands for Developing Responsibility Is Vitally Essential. For the first time, the school has received an "A" grade from the state of Michigan. Garlicky bosco sticks and popcorn shrimp are being served in the cafeteria at Blissfield Middle School. But in the DRIVE room, lunch is served with a side of last night's phentermine diet. Serena Lopez, sixth grade student told News 11, "Today, I didn't get my English paper done. So I had to get my rough draft in today in DRIVE." Getting a referral to spend lunchtime doing missed phentermine diet sounds like a drag, As sixth grader Travis Spiegel explains,"You can't spend time with your friends and stuff." Students with four lunch referrals, have to spend an hour with a teacher after school. Principal Mark Willson is not calling it a detention program, and says the purpose is not to punish. "It serves as an incentive to help kids complete their work. In no way, shape, or form is it a punishment. We don't want it to be viewed as a punishment." So why the agressive approach? Willson says when he first took his post more than two years ago, a quarter of the students were in danger of failure, and the problem was missed phentermine diet. "We looked at first semester grades and approximately 66 kids were receiving an 'F.'" Since DRIVE, that has all changed. Willson says nearly 99% of assignments are getting done. Spiegel told News 11, "For the past three days, I've been getting my math done because I'm concentrating on it, instead of goofing around in class." Grades are improving. Seventh grader Taylor Bowe told News 11, "I got two A's, two B's." DRIVE is bringing rewards to those who work, while others play. Posted by LS ... phentermine diet
